The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday filed a charge sheet in the court of PMLA special judge against five people, including former chief ministers Hemant Soren and Vinod Singh, in a money laundering case. Apart from these two, charge sheet has also been filed against Badagain zone revenue employee Bhanu Pratap Prasad, Hilarius Kachhap and the paper owner of the land, Rajkumar Pahan.
Along with the charge sheet, ED also handed over evidence documents to the court.

Many important things were seized from Vinod Singh’s house.
ED has accused Vinod Singh of helping Hemant Soren in the money laundering case. It has been said in the report that during the two raids conducted at Vinod Singh’s house, many important things were seized. Evidence of WhatsApp chats has been found from the mobile phone of Vinod Singh, close to Hemant. It contains more than 1200 pages.

On the request of CMO, Bhanu had prepared detailed description of the land.
It has been said in the report that the detailed description of this land was prepared by Bhanu Pratap Prasad. He has also admitted in his statement that on the instructions received from the Chief Minister’s Office, he had prepared and provided the detailed description of the land located at Badgai. ED has presented the details obtained from the mobile phone of the revenue employee as evidence in the court.
Hilarius Kachhap accused of helping in capturing the land
ED has accused Hilarius Kachhap of helping in illegal occupation of land. Hilarius had taken the electricity connection in his name on the concerned land. Besides, this 8.45 acre land was also surrounded with stones. ED has also accused the land owner Rajkumar Pahan of helping Hemant Soren.

SAR officer’s order: Return the land to Rajkumar Pahan
In the report related to this, it has been said that after the investigation into the possession of the land started, he applied for the return of the land. In this, Budhan Ram, Jogeshwar Ram etc. were made defendants. After the investigation report of the circle, in just 15 days, the SAR officer disposed of this case (81/2023-24) and ordered to return the land in favor of Raj Kumar Pahan.

Land grabbing is money laundering under PMLA provisions: ED
In the charge sheet filed by ED, it has been said that during the investigation of the case of purchase and sale of land with the help of fake documents, raids were conducted at the residences of revenue employee Bhanu Pratap Prasad and others. The information was shared with the state government under Section 669(2) of the PMLA after a case of large-scale tampering came to light in the investigation of documents recovered from the locations of revenue employees.

Hemant Soren has taken possession of the land unauthorizedly.
On the basis of this, the state government had lodged an FIR (272/23) in Sadar police station. After registering it as IIR, further investigation found that Hemant Soren has unauthorized possession of 8.45 acres of land belonging to Khata No. 210, 221, 109, 234 and others of Bargai circle, which is under PMLA 2002. Money laundering under the provisions contained in.
The value of the land captured at circle rate is around Rs 30 crore.
ED has estimated the value of this land at circle rate to be around Rs 30 crore. The report said that during the raid conducted at the Chief Minister’s residence in Delhi on January 29, Rs 36 lakh and a BMW car were also seized. However, ED has not requested the court to confiscate the car.
