Charges framed against BJP MLA Raju Singh in case of death of woman during harsh firing, may get 10 years imprisonment

Patna. BJP MLA Raju Singh Harsh from Sahebganj in Muzaffarpur district is embroiled in the case of death of a woman during firing. In this matter, the problems of his wife Ranu Singh have also increased. She is also a co-accused in this case along with her husband. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has framed charges against both of them. After the charges are framed in the court, now there will be a trial against the MLA and his wife. If the sections imposed on Raju Singh in this case are proved true, he can be imprisoned for up to 10 years.

A woman died in harsh firing

This matter is of 2019. In 2019, a New Year’s Eve party was organized at Raju Singh’s farmhouse in Delhi. It is alleged that during the party, Raju Singh got drunk and fired harshly from his licensed pistol. The bullet fired from Raju Singh’s pistol hit a woman, due to which she died. Apart from Raju Singh and his wife, two other people are also accused in this case. Now the next hearing of this case in the court will be on November 6.

The court made sharp remarks

After investigating this matter, the police has filed a charge sheet in the court against MLA Raju Singh and his wife along with two other accused. After that a hearing on this was held in the court. The court made strong remarks during the hearing. The court said during the hearing that accused Raju Singh knew that firing a bullet in a crowded party could lead to the death of a person. Still Raju Singh opened fire with his licensed pistol.

MLA’s wife accused of destroying evidence

During the hearing, the court said that prima facie a case is made out against accused Raju Singh under Section 304 (Part-2) of the IPC and Section 30 of the Arms Act. At the same time, Raju Singh’s wife Ranu Singh and his two associates Ramendra Singh and Rana Rajesh Singh are accused of destroying evidence. The court has also ordered framing of charges of destroying evidence against Raju Singh’s wife Ranu Singh and her associates.
