Charger Refund: Ola, Ather, Hero, TVS to refund charger money to EV customers

2-Wheeler Charger Refund: There is good news for those who buy electric bike or scooty. If you have paid separately for the charger, then the electric two-wheeler company is going to refund you the money for the charger. Big companies like Ola, Ather, Hero, TVS are going to refund the total amount of Rs 288 crore charged for the charger to their customers.

The government had said this by issuing a notice

The Ministry of Heavy Industries of the Central Government had issued a notice for this to the companies making electric bikes. These companies were not giving full benefit to the customers even after taking FAME subsidy from the government. After receiving complaints from the customers, the Central Government took note of this and sent notices to the companies. After this, the companies have decided to return the money taken for the charger.

EV customers will get back this much money

EV companies have separately charged Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 for the charger from the customers buying the electric bike or scooty. Customers will get this money back. After the loud promotion of subsidy on EV, in the year 2023, customers started complaining about charging a separate price for the charger. Taking cognizance of this, the Ministry of Heavy Industries issued a notice to the companies. Ola Electric has released its statement in this regard on Twitter on Thursday morning, May 4.
