Changes in the top management of Honda Motor HMSI, Otani becomes the Chief of India Operations

Honda Motor HMSI New MD – CEO: Japan’s Honda Motor Company Limited has announced a change in the top management of its Indian two-wheeler unit. Under this, the company has appointed Tsutsumu Otani as the President, CEO and Managing Director of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India. The company has told that Otani is also the vice president of Honda Motor Company Japan. He will replace Atsushi Ogata.

Otani was appointed executive general manager at the Shanghai unit of Honda Motor (China) Investment Co Ltd in 2022. He started his career with Honda Japan in 1997 and has held several leadership positions in the company in various global markets. The company also announced the promotion of Vinay Dhingra. He has been made Senior Director (HR & Administration, Corporate Affairs, Information Technology and Honda India Foundation).

Apart from this, former operating officer (sales and marketing) Yogesh Mathur, former operating officer (new model procurement and component strategy) Sanjeev Jain have been included in the board of directors of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI).
