Change in exam pattern of CUET PG 2024, application fee also increased, know everything here

CUET PG 2024: National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the application process for Common University Entrance Test Post Graduate (CUET PG 2024) on 26 December. Many changes have also been made in CUET PG 2024 exam. The application form which was earlier released on cuet.nta.nic.in is now available on a new website – pgcuet.samarth.ac.in. The application fee has also been increased for all categories of candidates.

Number of exam city centers reduced

NTA has reduced the number of exam city centers in India for CUET PG 2024 exam from 337 to 300 in 2023. Candidates will have to select two cities of their choice. The official website of CUET PG is now pgcuet.samarth.ac.in.

Application fee increased

  • NTA has increased the registration fee for all categories by Rs 200 compared to last year.

  • General category candidates will have to pay Rs 1,200 and OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS candidates will have to pay Rs 1,000.

  • Last year, candidates had to pay Rs 500 for additional test papers. However, this year they will have to pay Rs 600 for each additional test paper.

  • Applicants from outside India applying for up to two exams will have to pay Rs 6,000 and Rs 2,000 for additional papers. Earlier it was Rs 5,000 and Rs 1,500 respectively.

Will be able to choose four test paper codes

Candidates will be able to choose a maximum of four test paper codes in total. Candidates can choose General Paper as a subject as unlike previous years, there will be no Common Examination with each paper. Both these General Question Papers will be in English or Hindi as chosen by the candidate during registration.

Change in exam pattern

Last year, students had a total time of 2 hours for this examination, whereas this year the entrance examination will be conducted for 1 hour 45 minutes. This year NTA will conduct the examination in three shifts. The first shift exam will be conducted from 9 am to 10.45 am, the second shift exam will be conducted from 12:45 pm to 2:30 pm and the third shift exam will be conducted from 4:30 pm to 6:15 pm.
