Hearing on election results held in Punjab-Haryana High Court
A hearing was also held in the Punjab Haryana High Court today regarding tampering in the results of the Chandigarh Mayor election. The High Court directed the Chandigarh Administration and the Municipal Corporation on the application of the Aam Aadmi Party to conduct fresh elections of the Mayor under the supervision of a retired High Court judge. Notice has been issued. After hearing the entire matter, Punjab Haryana High Court has given three weeks time to Chandigarh Municipal Corporation and Chandigarh Administration to file their reply in this matter.
