CBI team reached Sahibganj to investigate illegal mining, collected documents, talked to officials

On the instructions of the High Court, CBI has started investigation before registering PE in Sahibganj illegal mining case. A seven-member CBI team reached Sahibganj on Thursday morning by Vananchal Express. On the very first day, the CBI was in a race regarding this matter. As soon as they reached here in the afternoon, the CBI officials divided into three teams and started the investigation. A CBI team reached Sahibganj Deputy Commissioner’s office and spoke to DC Ramniwas Yadav here.

Whereas, the second team went to SP office with SP Naushad Alam, while the third team talked to DMO Vibhuti Kumar and took many documents. After this, a two-member CBI team reached the ST-SC police station at around 3:55 pm and on the application of ED witness Vijay Hansda, asked several questions to the then station in-charge Soni Khalkho. If sources are to be believed, the CBI team also got information about the application given by Vijay Hansda. For example- on which date the application was given? After how many days from the application the primary key was registered?

The team also obtained information about the names of the accused in the registered FIR and about them. This CBI team came out of the ST-SC police station at around 4:56 pm. When the second CBI team came out of his office after talking to SP Naushad Alam, then the SP also came out with the team. Even outside the office, the team members talked to the SP for some time. Whereas, the third team reached the office of the District Mining Officer and obtained detailed information related to mining and lease. During the interrogation, CBI collected many important documents.
