CBI reached Sahibganj in illegal mining case of Rs 1000 crore, measurement of stone mine was done by calling divers.

Sahibganj: After 108 days, CBI team once again reached Sahibganj in the illegal mining and money laundering case of Rs 1000 crore. CBI officials had reached Sahibganj on Sunday evening itself. CBI reached here for the fifth time within a few months in the ST-SC case of Lemon Pahad head Vijay Hansda, who was an ED witness. Early on Monday morning, the CBI team along with DMO Krishna Kisku headed towards Simaria Mauza of Mandro area. The team stayed there for about two hours. After this, measurement of a stone mine located in Simaria Mauza was done. Amin was called for this.

During the measurement, due to the presence of water in the mine, a diver was called to measure its depth. After measuring the length and width of the mine, the depth of the pond was measured with the help of a diver. After taking the account of the mine, CBI officials collected the documents. According to sources, the mine which was measured is completely illegal, from which a large quantity of stone has been mined.

what is the matter
CBI has knocked at Sahibganj several times in the last few months to investigate the facts related to SC/ST case of Vijay Hansda. Actually the matter is that during illegal mining in Simaria Mauza of Mandaro area, there were cracks in the houses of the villagers due to explosion. Regarding this, Vijay Hansda, head of Lemon Pahad, had reached there along with the villagers in May 2022 and asked them to stop the mining. But the people involved in illegal mining had driven everyone away from there with the help of their bodyguards.

CBI is investigating
After this, Pradhan Vijay Hansda wrote in the ST-SC police station against Pankaj Mishra, Vishnu Yadav, Pavitra Yadav, Rajesh Yadav, Bachchu Yadav, Sanjay Yadav and Suvesh Mandal and others, accusing them of illegal mining and using caste indicative words. A complaint was lodged. Later, Vijay Hansda, who was in jail in the Arms Act case, had talked about taking up the case. Regarding this, the ED team had interrogated Vijay for hours in Sahibganj Mandal Jail. Later Vijay Hansda became a witness for ED. This case was handed over to CBI on the instructions of the High Court.
