CBI officers investigating appointment corruption case get protection from High Court

Calcutta High Court is investigating the appointment corruption case. CBI Gave great relief to the members of the Special Team (SIT). The single bench of Justice Abhijit Ganguly has made it clear that the state police will not harass any member of the SIT in any way. Not only the state police, but no agency in Bengal can harass. Calcutta High Court provided special security to the officers of CBI SIT formed to investigate recruitment corruption. Justice Abhijeet Ganguly ordered on Wednesday that Kolkata Police or any other institution of the state cannot harass him. Even without the permission of this court, no action can be taken against the head of the SIT or any officer, nor can any complaint be filed against them anywhere. Also, the judge said in his order that the lower court cannot take any action in this regard.

SIT formed on the orders of High Court

The judge said that it has been learned that on the complaint of an accused in jail custody, a judge of the special CBI court has attached Kolkata Police in the case. Who gave them this right? This SIT has been formed on the orders of the High Court, why would the lower court interfere in its work. Only after this the judge provided security to the officers. The judge also asked why the judge of the special CBI court of Alipore has not been transferred yet. The judge summoned the state law minister to the court to get information in this regard.

Law Minister reached the court on the summons of the judge. Malay incident

During the hearing of the case on Wednesday, the Secretary of the State Law Department told the court that the file related to the transfer of the Alipore judge was sent to the Minister on August 25 itself. But it has not been signed yet. Only after this the judge summoned Law Minister Malay Ghatak and he reached the High Court around 5 pm. High Court Judge Abhijeet Ganguly asked the Law Minister why the file has not been signed yet.

Judge transfer process begins by October 6

On this the Law Minister said that he was ill and he had been discharged from the hospital only four days ago. He also told the court that the doctors have advised him to take rest for 15 more days, hence he asked for time from the court. Only after this the judge directed the minister to start the process of transfer of the judge by October 6.
