Satyendra Jain News: The Union Home Ministry has recommended a CBI inquiry against AAP leader Satyendra Jain. Satyendra Jain is already in jail. This investigation has been instituted in the case of protection money of Rs 10 crore from swindler Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Jain and former Tihar Jail DG Sandeep Goyal are accused of running an extortion racket in the jail. Both of them are also accused of demanding protection money from high profile jail prisoners. This development has happened after Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal went into ED custody in the liquor scam case.
Let us tell you that Delhi LG VK Saxena had sanctioned the CBI investigation in the extortion case earlier this year. CBI had written a letter to LG in November last year. In this he had said that Satyendra Jain is demanding protection money from thug Sukesh. Not only this, he is running this racket in Tihar Jail. He has assured Chandrashekhar that if he gives Rs 10 crore, he will be able to live a comfortable life in jail.

Thug Sukesh had accused Satyendra Jain of extorting money from him in several installments between 2018 and 21. He himself was involved in this and sometimes sent henchmen. In return for this amount, Sukesh was allowed to live comfortably in Tihar, Rohini and Mandoli jails. Let us tell you that Satyendra Jain was arrested under PMLA in May 2022. In March this year, the Supreme Court had rejected his bail petition. He was ordered to surrender in the money laundering case. Jain was released on interim medical bail on 26 May 2023. He was granted bail when he slipped and fell in the jail bathroom. During the bail period he had undergone spinal cord operation.
