Car Review: Skoda cuts prices of Slavia and Kushaq, launches Slavia Matte Edition

Both these models will now be offered during this festive season at Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 11.09 lakh respectively. Apart from this, the company has also launched an all-new Slavia Matte Edition with new feature updates for its top-spec model to celebrate the upcoming festive season.

Price cut for sedan Slavia and compact SUV Kushaq

The company has cut the prices of its medium-sized sedan Slavia and compact SUV Kushaq for the upcoming festive season. Before the price cut, the price of Slavia used to start from Rs 11.39 lakh, but now its price will start from Rs 10.89 lakh. Meanwhile, the price of Kushaq compact SUV starts at Rs 11.59 lakh and it will now start at Rs 10.89 lakh.

New features added to Slavia and Kushaq

Apart from this, the company has also introduced new comfort and convenience features for the Slavia and compact SUV Kushaq models. The list of new features includes electric seats for the driver and co-driver seats and a footwell area, which is a first in the segment. Apart from this, the cars also get an updated 25.4 cm infotainment screen with Skoda Play apps. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are also available in these. A sub-woofer is also available in the boot of the car. Kushaq Monte Carlo will now also get electric seats and footwell lights.

To attract new customers, Skoda Auto India has also launched an all-new Slavia Matte Edition. The company has introduced this edition in carbon steel paint color, which will come in matte finish. The door handles and ORVMs in the car will also be in high-gloss black colour. Apart from these changes, the car will have the same features as the top-spec model, which has now been updated with new features.

Powertrain of Slavia Matte Edition

As far as powertrain is concerned, the sedan will be equipped with the same powertrain options, which include a 1.0-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates 114 bhp power and 178 Nm torque. Apart from this, the car also gets the popular and more performance based 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which generates an impressive 150 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.

Skoda Kushaq latest update

Skoda has introduced a new limited edition variant of Kushaq in India.

  • Price: Before the price cut by the company, the price of Skoda Kushaq starts at Rs 11.59 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

  • Variant: Skoda Kushaq is available in three variants Active, Ambition and Style. Some special editions named Monte Carlo, Matte Edition, Onyx and Onyx Plus are also available for sale.

  • seating capacity: This is a 5 seater car, in which five people can sit.
