Call Drop: If you also have the problem of call drop, then you are not alone; Read this report of TRAI

Call Drop Issue: The use of mobile phones in the country is continuously increasing. But on the other hand, people are also seeing many problems related to it. Meanwhile, a big update has come out regarding calling. Actually, complaints of call drops are increasing. Telecom regulator TRAI has also issued a statement on this. Telecom regulator TRAI has said that there is a need to review the existing standards of quality of telecom services due to increase in complaints related to disconnection of calls.

Service quality rules have to be reviewed

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) said that quality of service norms will have to be reviewed to test the performance of telecom networks at the district level. Apart from this, now we have to think about bringing 4G and 5G services under its purview. Telecom regulator TRAI has said that there is a need to review the existing standards of quality of telecom services due to increase in complaints related to disconnection of calls.

Complaints like call disconnection, no sound and slow internet speed are increasing

Presenting the draft of the revised rules, the regulator said, even after the widespread 4G network spread in the country and the introduction of 5G services, complaints like call disconnection, no voice and slow internet speed are continuously increasing. This raises questions about the design of telecommunication networks and the provision of necessary network resources.

Quality of Service Standards in the era of 2G and 3G services

Stating the need to tighten call drop standards to improve the situation, TRAI said that service quality standards were issued during the era of 2G and 3G services, but now the proportion of customers using 4G and 5G services is 75 percent. More than that has happened.

Service quality assessment will now have to be done at district level instead of telecom circle

The telecom regulator said that instead of telecom circles, it will now have to think about assessing the service quality at the district level. A telecom circle is generally equal to a state. TRAI has sought suggestions from the concerned parties in this regard from 20 September.
