Calcutta High Court: Calcutta High Court of West Bengal message empty ,Sandeshkhali) has ordered a CBI inquiry into alleged crimes against women and land grabbing cases. The central agency has been asked to start the investigation from today itself. The court said that CBI will have to open a new email ID and submit complaints related to the Sandeshkhali incident. A total of five public interest cases were filed in the Calcutta High Court regarding Sandeshkhali. It is noteworthy that the Calcutta High Court will monitor the investigation of the Sandeshkhali case. Along with this, the court has directed CBI to file a report regarding illegal conversion of agricultural land for fish farming.

Apart from this, the court has asked to install CC cameras and LED lights on the roads to mark the sensitive areas of Sandeshkhali. The state will have to pay its expenses within the next 15 days. Considering various complaints including atrocities on women, land grabbing of common people, especially Scheduled Tribes, the court decided that the CBI will initiate investigation on the basis of complaints of Sandeshkhali people. The court directed that all parties in the case should submit all the complaints to the CBI within the next 15 days.

Common people can make their complaints through the email ID provided by CBI. This is to protect the privacy of the complainants. The District Magistrate of North 24 Parganas should also publicize this email ID in the Sandeshkhali area. The High Court said that this information should be given to the people in the most widely circulated daily newspaper in the local language. The next hearing of this case will be held in the High Court on May 2.

CBI can interrogate any person
The court said that after proper investigation and investigation into the allegations of land grabbing from local people, the report should be submitted to CBI on the next hearing day. If necessary, CBI can interrogate any person, organization, government authority, police authority, any person interested in the case including NGOs. The court said that land transfer in Sandeshkhali, agricultural land being converted for sheep farming, etc. CBI should investigate the allegations of naming and give a detailed report. The court will monitor the investigation process. Further instructions will be given after seeing the CBI report.
