BYJU’s Loss: The troubles of Byju’s, which was once among the largest start-up companies in the country, are not ending. Recently, Byju’s founder Byju Raveendran (BYJU’S Founder Raveendran) had recently raised funds by mortgaging houses and immovable properties owned by their family members to pay salaries. But now due to the losses incurred by the company, it has become one of the most loss making startups in the country. Education technology company Think and Learn, operating under the Byju brand, said that its operating loss widened to Rs 6,679 crore in the financial year 2021-22. The company said that its operating loss increased due to losses in its two subsidiaries White Hat Junior and Osmo. Think and Learn told the stock market that its operating loss was Rs 4,143 crore in the financial year 2020-21. Its income more than doubled to Rs 5,298.43 crore in the financial year 2020-21, which was Rs 2,428.39 crore in 2020-21.
