Buying stopped in share market, Sensex fell by 248 points

Share Market Opening: Amid weak signals from the global market and monthly expiry, the Indian stock market has had a slow start today. The buying spree that had been going on in the market for the last four days has stopped today. Due to this, both Sensex and Nifty indices are trading falling. Today at 9.20 am, Sensex is trading at 73,604.55, down 0.34 percent or 248.39 points. Whereas, Nifty is seen slipping by 0.25 percent i.e. 55.30 points at 22,347.10. Midcap and smallcap indices are trading with slight gains. Today in focus are the stocks of Kotak Mahindra Bank and Hindustan Unilever. Today 2707 companies are doing business in the market. In this, stocks of 1640 companies are trading in profit. Whereas, losses are being seen in the stocks of 924 companies. No change was seen in the share prices of 143 companies.

How is the business on Sensex-Nifty?

The stocks of 16 companies on the 30-share Sensex of BSE are seeing a rise. Whereas, red mark is visible in the stocks of 14 companies. At the same time, mixed trading is being seen on Nifty. Nifty Bank has fallen by 201 points, FMCG by 120 points and Consumer Durable by 130 points. Stocks of Axis Bank, HCL Tech, Eicher Motors, Sun Pharma, SBI and Power Grid are among the top gainers today. Whereas, stocks of Kotak Mahindra, Tata Consumer, Hindustan Unilever, Apollo Hospitals and Asian Paints have joined the category of top losers.

US futures appeared under pressure in the global market yesterday due to weak results of tech companies. Investors were seen waiting for GDP and PCE data. On the other hand, American markets closed flat yesterday. Dow Jones closed up 43 points. At the same time, the S&P500 index closed with a gain of just 1 point. Whereas Nasdaq closed with a gain of 16 points. Whereas, the Indian market had closed with a rise. BSE’s 30-share index Sensex closed 114.49 points higher at 73,852.94 points on Wednesday. With this, in the last four trading sessions, the Sensex has registered a total increase of 1,363.95 points or 1.88 percent. In this phase of boom, the total market capitalization of companies listed on BSE has increased by Rs 8,48,328.9 crore to Rs 4,01,37,377.21 crore.
