Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) bulldozer once again roared on illegal colonies in Bareilly, UP on Saturday. The BDA team demolished 110 bigha illegally developed colonies near the city’s Bada Bypass and Air Force Station. The residents tried hard to stop the BDA team. Along with this, an attempt was made to put pressure on the ruling leaders by making them talk on the phone, but the team did not listen. BDA team reached Paharganj of the city on Saturday. Here resident Veeresh Gurjar had built an illegal colony in an area of ​​about 10 bighas near the Paharganj cremation ground. Along with carrying out development work in the illegal colony, marking of plots, construction of boundary wall, electric pole and CC road was also being done. The team had demolished the development works of the colony. Ahmed Miao and Arif had constructed an illegal colony in an area of ​​about 60 bighas behind Barrier 2 of Pir Bahoda.

Along with the development work here, marking of plots, construction of site office, boundary wall and CC road was also done. Apart from this, Manoj had developed an illegal colony in an area of ​​about 20 bighas in village Paharganj behind Ramganga Nagar Sector-01. Construction and development work was done here also. Marking of plots, construction of site office, drain and road etc. was done in the colony. This was also demolished with a bulldozer. In Paharganj itself, Ramveer and Rajveer had developed an illegal colony in an area of ​​about 20 bighas. Along with the construction work in this illegal colony, construction work of site office, drain, CC road, filling of soil in the plots and marking of plots etc. was being done.

BDA is continuously taking action against illegal colonies. More than a dozen illegal colonies of the city have been demolished with bulldozers. BDA has taken action under relevant sections of Uttar Pradesh City Planning and Development Act-1973. During this time, the authority’s assistant engineer Harish Kumar, junior engineers Sunil Gupta, Raman Aggarwal, and the enforcement team had also taken demolition action against illegal colonies on Friday.
