Bugle will sound for Madhya Pradesh assembly elections today, know what is the position of parties in the state

The date of Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections will be announced today, the Election Commission is going to announce the election dates at 12 noon. At present there is BJP government in Madhya Pradesh. The current Chief Minister of the state is Shivraj Singh Chauhan. However, this election is going to be very special for BJP and in a way, it is like a semi-final contest for the ruling party BJP before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

There will be a tough fight between BJP and Congress

The main contest in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections will be between Congress and BJP. In the last assembly elections also, there was a main contest between these two parties, there was a close contest and in terms of seats, Congress party had got 114 seats while BJP had got 109 seats, while the majority figure is 116. With the arrival of Jyotiraditya Scindia, BJP government may have been formed in the state, but the contest with Congress remains close. BJP leaders are continuously visiting the state, even Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have held rallies in the state several times. Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are also continuously holding rallies in Madhya Pradesh and are maintaining their full focus so that they can gain control over this state.

Parties are working hard

After the 2018 assembly elections, the Congress government was formed in the state and Kamal Nath got the post of Chief Minister. Because of this, senior party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia became angry and ultimately left the party, which benefited BJP and in 2020, Shivraj Singh Chouhan became the Chief Minister of the state. This time the equations seem to have changed in the elections, Scindia who was working hard for Congress is with BJP this time. However, the central leadership of Congress is working hard to win Madhya Pradesh.

The position of the parties in Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly is as follows-

Total seats-230

BJP-128

Congress-98

BSP-1

IND-3
