Kolkata, Vikas Kumar Gupta: During the festive season, foiling the smuggling of gold before an attempt was made to secretly cross the border from Bangladesh to Indian border and send it to Barabazar in Kolkata, the soldiers of 82nd battalion of South Bengal Frontier of BSF seized two gold biscuits weighing 235.32 grams. Confiscated. The incident took place near Gongra border post in Nadia district. According to BSF sources, the soldiers deployed on the border saw a person coming near the Indian border from the Bangladesh side near the barbed fencing on the border. When the soldiers started moving towards him, the smuggler quickly threw a small packet over the fencing and ran back towards Bangladesh.

Seeing the BSF soldiers, the smugglers managed to escape by throwing the bag.

After a thorough search on the spot, the soldiers seized a packet. In which there were 2 gold biscuits. Whose total weight is 235.32 grams. Its price is said to be Rs 13 lakh 93 thousand 737. The seized gold biscuits have been handed over to the Customs office located in Krishna Nagar for further action. Investigation is being done to find out to whom the escaping smugglers were going to deliver this gold on the Indian border. It is being told that only a few days are left for the biggest festival Durga Puja in West Bengal.
