The police argued before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Priyanka Rajput and said that the incidents of sexual assault allegedly committed by Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh abroad and inside India, including Delhi, fall under the same offence. The police told the judge that the Delhi court has jurisdiction to hear this case. Now the next hearing date of this case has been kept by the court on January 20.

Under which sections the case has been registered

Let us tell you that Delhi Police has registered a case against six-time MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on June 15, 2023 under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (assault or use of criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354- Chargesheet was filed under Section 354-A (sexual harassment), Section 354-D (stalking) and Section 506 (criminal intimidation). Since then his difficulties have increased.

Next hearing on January 20

The court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Priyanka Rajput was hearing the arguments afresh. This is because the previous judge was transferred at the stage of framing charges. Now the next hearing of the case is to be held on January 20.
