BJP MLAs meeting today to elect legislative party leader in Madhya Pradesh
Newly elected MLAs of BJP in Madhya Pradesh will hold a meeting on Monday to elect the leader of the legislative party. BJP retained power in Madhya Pradesh by winning 163 seats in the 230-member assembly in the elections held on November 17, while Congress came second with 66 seats. BJP did not present anyone as the chief ministerial face in the elections and in a way the entire campaign was based on the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. If reports are to be believed, the meeting is expected to start at 4 pm on Monday and the name of the Chief Minister can be announced by 7 pm.
