Industries Minister Sameer Kumar Mahaseth on Thursday inaugurated different completed schemes of the Industries Department at 10 places in the district. He first inaugurated the newly constructed Plug and Play Shed B-2 in Bela Industrial Area, which is spread over 44 thousand square feet. It was told that this plug and play shed, built at a cost of Rs 15 crore, will soon start manufacturing products of a reputed textile brand of the country.

43,560 sq ft Plug and Play Shed Phase-5

The Industries Minister then inaugurated the newly constructed Plug and Play Shed Phase-5 in Bagh Cluster, which is 43,560 square feet. First 500-500 people will work in both the sheds. Depending on the demand, when the company will start production in two or three shifts, about two thousand people will get employment in both the sheds.

Information was given that soon a branded company will set up a unit for bags in a new shed. From here the bags will be exported to the country as well as to foreign countries. Apart from this, the Minister also inaugurated two new plug and play shades of Gap Fashion. Textile machines will work in this. One shed has been allotted to Numaish Fashion. About 150 people will work in it. Apart from this, two roads were also inaugurated in Industrial Area Phase-II.

Six lakh bags are being exported every month

The bag cluster already running in Bela Industrial Area is operating better. The Industries Minister said that at present six lakh bags are being exported to other states of the country every month. Whereas, earlier only this number of bags were sent to Bihar from other states. A target has been set to export 10 lakh bags in the coming days. He said that sheds are being built under the Plug and Play scheme on more than 25 lakh square feet of land in nine districts of the state, which will be allotted to new industries. A raincoat manufacturing company has also established its unit in Hajipur.

The Industries Minister inaugurated the renovated Andi Seed Supply Center in Mohammadpur Gokul. On this problem, the Minister said that STP is being constructed by Budco near Bela. At the same time, construction of 18 kilometer drain is going on to improve the drainage system of the industrial area. Initiative is being taken to connect this drain with STP. For this, talks will be held with the officials of Patna BUDCO.

Five units of Muzaffarpur got Gold Z certificate

Bihar has become number-1 in terms of Z certification given by the MSME Ministry of the Central Government. According to the data, 3,171 units of Bihar state have been given Z certificate. But Muzaffarpur district has a huge contribution in this achievement. 5 units of the district have received Z Gold Certificate from the MSME Ministry of the Central Government. Which has proved helpful in making Bihar number-1 at the country level. Industry Minister Sameer Kumar Mahaseth gave information about this during the press conference on Thursday.

Muzaffarpur district also got 200 bronze certificates

Department officials said that Muzaffarpur district has also received 200 bronze certificates. According to the data of the department, Tamil Nadu is at second place with 3,119 certificates, similarly Haryana is at 5th place with 2,947 certificates, Karnataka with 2,590, Punjab with 2,274 certificates. It was informed that out of the units of Bihar that received the certificate, 18 units have received silver and 15 units have received gold certification.

What is Z certification?

This scheme was started to increase production and contribution of MSMEs in environmental protection. Some criteria have been set to obtain ZED (Zero Defect, Zero Effect) certification. A rating is given to a product by assessing its manufacturing waste, energy consumption and damage to the environment. The objective of the scheme for micro, small and medium enterprises is to reduce wastage in small and medium enterprises and encourage them to adopt environment friendly technology.
