Union President Gurmeet Singh and General Secretary RK Singh have increased the pressure on the management to make permanent more than 300 By Six employees. This is why on Sunday the management had refused to settle the bonus agreement at the last moment.
Employees are also hoping for maximum permanentisation. Tata Motors Jamshedpur is the only company in the country which gives the gift of permanentization to many of its by-six employees every year. Talks on bonus will begin between the company’s Vice President Vishal Badshah, who reached the city from Pune, Jamshedpur Tata Motors Plant Head Ravindra Kulkarni, HR Head, IR Head and other senior management officials and the Tata Motors Workers Union. Last year, 10.67 percent bonus and 201 by six employees were made permanent in Tata Motors. The workers got an average of Rs 38,200 and Rs 51,500.
