Bokaro: Woman from Petarwar going to Ranchi on bike dies in accident

Poonam Devi (27), who was driving a bike, died on the spot after being hit by an unknown vehicle at 8.30 am on Wednesday near Mahavir Temple located in Pordag village of police station area on Petwar-Bokaro road of NH 23. Poonam, wife of Ravindra Kumar Soni, resident of Bodro village of Nawadih police station area, was going alone to Ranchi on bike. Ravindra, his son Arun Kumar Soni and daughter Mahi Kumari were going to Ranchi by auto. Ravindra Soni lives in Kokar, Ranchi and drives an auto.

Poonam’s bike went out of control in Pordag and collided with a scooter rider. Due to this Poonam fell on the highway. Meanwhile, an unknown vehicle going from Bokaro towards Ramgarh crushed Poonam. On receiving the information, police station in-charge Vinay Kumar reached the spot and took the woman to the community health center of Petarwar. Medical officer Dr. Jyotsna Sinha declared Poonam dead. On receiving the information, Ravindra reached the spot with the children.
