Bokaro Weather: Kanakni in the air, cold wave havoc as soon as the sun sets

This year, people experienced the cold a little late, but now the effect of cold has started becoming so much that people have started saying ‘uff’. Whether day, night or afternoon, cold is wreaking havoc all the time. Who cares about morning and evening, people are forced to wear jackets and caps even in the afternoon. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature of Bokaro was recorded at 24 degrees, which was below the average room temperature. The minimum temperature was recorded at 09 degrees. Irrespective of the temperature, the howling of the wind was forcing people to shiver. Winds blowing from the north-west direction at a speed of 06-08 km per hour make it feel as if people are directly facing snow. The severity of cold is such that people have either sealed themselves with warm clothes from top to bottom or are surrendering themselves to the Sun God during the day and to the Fire God in the evening. The meteorological department has also issued a yellow alert regarding cold. The situation is more or less fine in the afternoon, but in the evening the coldness of the air is creating problems for the people.

District administration also alert

In view of the cold, the district administration is also on alert mode. Blankets are being distributed among the needy in the Sarkar Aapke Dwar program organized in different blocks of Bokaro district. Arrangements have been made to light bonfires in urban and rural areas and markets in the evening. So that the pedestrians get relief. Apart from this, special arrangements have been made in night shelters in the city area. In view of the cold, the school has changed its routine. The opening hours of most private schools have been extended. Also, children are being given all the information to avoid cold.

Days are getting shorter, business is getting affected

Sunrise in Bokaro on Tuesday was at 06:21 and sunset was at 05:02. That means the day was 10 hours 41 minutes long. Meaning, the length of the day has reduced. The effect of cold is also visible on the market. Due to cold weather, the market becomes quiet in the evening. Along with cold, the month of Kharmas is also affecting the market. However, people are buying in room heater and geyser segment.

The temperature will drop further

This decline in mercury in the state is due to north-westerly winds. There is no scope for change in the wind direction in the coming days also. It is being predicted that the temperature may drop further in the coming days. The minimum temperature of Bokaro may reach 07-08 degrees Celsius in the next one week.
