Bokaro Steel Plant: 15000 SAIL employees including 1200 from BSL will become officers, circular for junior officer exam released

Bokaro: There is good news for those who have become officers from SAIL employees including BSL in Bokaro district of Jharkhand. 15000 employees of SAIL including 1200 of Bokaro Steel Plant will become officers. SAIL management has released the circular for Junior Officer (JO) examination on Monday. The online application process will start from April 5. Last date is 14th April. The date of written examination will be announced later. Under the extended policy and rules for promotion from non-executive to executive cadre, employees can apply for promotion to the posts of junior officers in all plants and units of SAIL including BSL (from 30.06.2024).

The employee must have completed 10 years of continuous service in the company
Employees of SAIL including BSL who have completed minimum years of service in S6 or above grade as on 30 June 2024 as per each qualification for technical and non-technical streams respectively will be eligible to apply. While determining eligibility, the highest applicable qualification for the category of qualification (technical/non-technical) chosen by the employee will be taken into account. To be eligible for promotion the employee must complete 10 years of continuous service in the company, including the training period. The employee should have at least one year of service left by June 30, 2024.

Must have passed the examination conducted for the chosen stream.
Employees working in non-technical sectors possessing Matric, Matric ITI qualification or qualification specified for technical stream can opt for promotion to the technical stream. Similarly, employees working in technical stream can also opt for promotion in non-technical stream, provided they have the qualifications specified for that field. In such cases the employee will have to qualify the examination conducted for the stream chosen by him. In case of selection, such employees will be posted in the same stream in which they had selected and appeared for selection.

Candidates must have the eligibility qualification as on 1st April 2024
Candidates must have the eligibility criteria by April 1, 2024. Candidates who have appeared for the examination to acquire the envisaged/selected qualification, where the result is awaited, will not be considered. Request for inclusion of qualification in personnel records after final submission of application under JO Circular will not be considered/taken into account.
