Workers died due to suffocation
Workers had become victims of the accident in Aliabad industrial area of Vijayapura, Karnataka. Due to the machine breaking down, the workers got buried under a heap of 100 tonnes of maize and seven workers from different districts of Bihar died in this tragic accident. During the search and rescue operation, bodies of seven laborers were taken out. At the same time, one person was rescued.

The Local Commissioner of Bihar has been instructed to take stock of the situation and provide all possible assistance and make all appropriate arrangements to take the mortal remains of the deceased laborers to their native villages.
