On Sunday, February 4, the famous film Black starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji celebrated its 19th anniversary since its release and after this OTT platform Netflix announced the first OTT release of the film.
‘Black’ promises to give audiences an opportunity to revisit the film’s depth and cinematic brilliance from the comfort of their homes. Sharing a clip of the film on Instagram, the official handle of Netflix wrote and posted a caption commemorating the occasion.

Debraj and Michelle’s journey has been an inspiration to us all, and we hope it fills you with strength and compassion.”
Amitabh Bachchan, who played the role of teacher Debraj in the film, gave information about the OTT premiere by posting on his Instagram.
The story revolves around Michelle, a woman who struggles with deafness and blindness, and her deep relationship with her teacher Debraj. Debraj, an elderly alcoholic teacher, goes through hardships himself and is later diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
Written, directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, this film includes Ayesha Kapoor, Shernaz Patel and Dhritiman Chatterjee in supporting roles.
Black was praised for its story, performances, direction, dialogues and more. Notably, he received the National Award for Best Actor for his role as Big B.
