Black marketing and over rating of fertilizer in Aligarh, administration will take action as soon as complaint is received

Aligarh: Strict action will be taken in case of complaint of over-rating and tagging of fertilizers in Aligarh. Effective action will be taken to stop illegal storage as well as black marketing of fertilizers. On Wednesday, a meeting was held in the Collectorate auditorium regarding fertilizer supply and distribution. In which it has been ensured to distribute fertilizer in the district as per the rack plan. Under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Inder Vikram Singh, fertilizer distribution was reviewed in the Collectorate Auditorium with Assistant Registrar Cooperative Society, DS of PCF, District Agriculture Officer and representatives of wholesale fertilizer sellers and fertilizer companies of the district. Fertilizer companies, wholesalers and officials were directed to ensure supply of phosphatic and potassic fertilizers in the district as per the rack plan through mutual coordination. Fertilizers should be made available to farmers at fixed prices only. If any complaint of over rating is received from anywhere, strict action will be taken against the concerned.

Farmers are not getting fertilizer on time

During the review, the District Magistrate expressed his anger over PCF not dispatching the fertilizer to the committees on time when the rakes arrived and said that despite the availability of fertilizer, it was not distributed to the farmers on time. It is regrettable. In the coming days, he instructed to dispatch 100 percent of the fertilizer rakes coming from IFFCO to the committees on time as per the demand. He directed the District Agriculture Officer to ensure that effective action is taken to stop tagging with fertilizers. He said that no tagging should be done with any product without the consent of the farmers. He instructed the District Agriculture Officer to take effective action to stop illegal storage as well as black marketing of fertilizers and said that regular inspections should be conducted at the establishments of retail fertilizer sellers. Along with this, the supply and target of fertilizers for Rabi crop was also discussed in detail in the meeting.
