BJP state president Babulal Marandi had alleged liquor scam in the state. He has been continuously besieging the government regarding the Chhattisgarh connection in the sale of liquor in the state. Mr. Marandi alleged that in the last financial year, the government had lost revenue of Rs 450 crore due to the connivance of corrupt officials of the Excise Department and middlemen. He had written letters to the Chief Minister on April 18-19 and December 9 last year and demanded action. Mr. Marandi urged the CM to register an FIR against the officials.

Mr. Marandi had said that the whole matter is being suppressed. During the raids of ED in Chhattisgarh, it was talked about the activism of the same company in Jharkhand. They said that the work is given to those who are given the notice of recovery of Rs 450 crore. Surrounding the government regarding the tender, it was written in the letter that when people could not get the tender as per their wish, it was pulled out again.
