BJP state president Babulal Marandi had alleged liquor scam in the state. He has been continuously besieging the government regarding the Chhattisgarh connection in the sale of liquor in the state. Mr. Marandi alleged that in the last financial year, the government had lost revenue of Rs 450 crore due to the connivance of corrupt officials of the Excise Department and middlemen. He had written letters to the Chief Minister on April 18-19 and December 9 last year and demanded action. Mr. Marandi urged the CM to register an FIR against the officials.
