BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik seeks advice from public for ‘New Odisha, Strong Odisha’

Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be held simultaneously in Odisha. For this, the parties have started their respective preparations. Naveen Patnaik, supremo of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha, has sought advice from the public for his party’s manifesto.

Biju Janata Dal chief and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday (April 10) urged the people of Odisha to tell what should be in the party’s manifesto. Odisha CM has constituted a 38-member manifesto committee under the chairmanship of BJD MP from Berhampur Chandrashekhar Sahu.

Naveen Patnaik has issued an official statement saying that this manifesto committee formed for the Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections will hold discussions with different sections of the society. After this she will prepare a manifesto. The manifesto prepared by the committee will guide the creation of ‘New Odisha, Strong Odisha’.

Amar Patnaik appointed coordinator of BJD’s manifesto committee

Senior BJD leader Amar Patnaik has been appointed convenor of the manifesto committee, while Rajya Sabha member Sasmit Patra has been made co-convenor. Let us tell you that general elections and assembly elections will be held in Odisha between May 13 and June 1. There are 147 assembly and 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
