Bike riding miscreants looted 23 lakhs from animal trader at gunpoint in Ghaziabad, terror in broad daylight

Ghaziabad: In Ghaziabad, UP, bike-borne miscreants looted Rs 23 lakh from a cattle trader in broad daylight. This incident took place on National Highway 9 in Vijayanagar police station area. According to the businessman, about 23 lakh rupees were kept in the trunk of the scooty. The miscreants threatened to kill him at gunpoint and took his scooty away. DCP City, ACP Kotwali and police of Vijayanagar police station reached the spot after information on 112 in this incident which took place at around 5.30 pm on Monday evening and started investigation.

DCP City Nipun Agarwal told that a robbery incident has taken place with Nadeem, a cattle trader living in Sahibabad. On the basis of the information given by them, the miscreants are being searched. Soon the miscreants will be arrested. Nadeem told the police that he does the work of buying and selling animals. He had done some deals recently. In which he had to give money to the farmers in Dasna.

He had taken the same money from Ghazipur Murga Mandi in the trunk of his scooty. He had just reached near ABEsit on NH-9. Then three miscreants came on the bike and overtook the scooty and stopped it on the highway itself. Before he could understand anything, the miscreants took him at gunpoint. During this, a miscreant snatched the scooty from him and the other two fled on the bike, after which he called 112 and informed the police about the incident.

The miscreants chased from Delhi

DCP City Nipun Agarwal reached the spot after getting information about the robbery. He told that in the preliminary investigation, it seems that the miscreants were following Nadeem from Delhi itself. In such a situation, there is a possibility that someone who has information about this deal may have a hand in it. Police is checking the entire route of Nadeem, along with the CCTV cameras installed around the spot are also being checked. So that some clue of the miscreants can be found.

Three miscreants on a bike, police unaware

After this robbery on the highway in the Police Commissionerate system, questions have also been raised on the security system. Let us tell you that in order to reduce the workload from Vijayanagar police station, Crossing Republic police station was made separate. Even though the area is small, the monitoring of the police on the highway is under question. Police is running a campaign against those who break the traffic rules. Even after this, three miscreants kept roaming around with guns on a bike and no one stopped or interrupted them for checking on the way. If the police had stopped him at some point even in case of breaking the rules, this incident would not have happened.

CCTV cameras are not installed on the highway

After the Police Commissionerate system was implemented in Ghaziabad, the police had sent a proposal to NHAI to install cameras on the highway. In which it was said to complete the work of installing 235 cameras in a few days. These cameras were being installed for traffic control as well as for security, but the work of installing them has not started yet. According to sources, NHAI has put the project of installing cameras in cold storage.
