Chandan, a resident of Motihari, has more than half a dozen cases registered against him in Bihar. Bihar Police was searching for him. According to the officials of the Special Cell of Delhi Police, the arrested serial killer Chandan and his friend Sundar used to collect extortion money from people from Delhi to Bihar and have so far collected extortion money from many big people. More than two dozen cases are registered against both of them in Bihar. More than 6 murder cases are registered against Chandan alone. Bihar Police had declared a reward of Rs 50 thousand on Chandan.
Arrest based on secret information
The Special Cell of Delhi Police had received information about both of them. Based on secret information, the Special Cell laid a trap and conducted a raid. During this, the miscreants also fired at the police team, but ultimately the police caught both of them. After getting information about the arrest of both, the Motihari Police team has left for Delhi to take them on remand.

According to the officer, when the police stopped Chandan, he and his associate Sundar opened fire on the security personnel, but the police retaliated and arrested both of them. Another officer said that both the accused were living in Delhi but would often go to Noida in Bihar to make ransom calls.
