Bihar’s biggest gold robbery accused killed in gang war, came out of jail on bail six months ago

In Bihar’s biggest gold robbery case, the accused was shot dead by bike-riding criminals late on Sunday night near Pokhri near RN College of Hajipur Nagar police station. The deceased was identified as Yusuf Qaiser alias Rajhani, son of Miyaz Kaushal, resident of Bagdulhan Mohalla of Nagar police station. Rajhani was shot four-five times in the back by the criminals. Due to which he died on the spot.

As soon as information about the murder of the young man was received, the police reached the spot. The police also scanned the CCTV footage installed near the incident site. Deceased Rajhani was accused in the case of robbery of 55 kg gold from Muthoot Finance in Cinema Road of Nagar police station in the year 2019. He came out of jail about six months ago. Police are conducting raids to arrest the criminals. This incident is also being linked to gang war.

According to the information received, Rajhani was going on foot to a friend at around 9.45 pm on Sunday night. Meanwhile, four criminals riding on two bikes reached there. As soon as he saw the criminals, Rajhani started running away. Seeing him running, the criminals started firing indiscriminately at him. Four-five bullets of the criminals hit him in the back. After the shooting the criminals fled from there. Hearing the sound of the bullet, Rajhani’s friend and the people nearby gathered at the spot. He was immediately taken to a nursing home, where he died. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the family members of the deceased and the police of the city police station reached the spot.

In Sadar Hospital, the deceased’s mother Farida Begum told that Rajhani used to go to his friend’s place for the last three-four days. His sister told that brother had called on the phone and informed that he was coming home to have food. At around ten o’clock he got a call from his friend Pawan that Rajhani had been shot. When the family reached there, Pawan was missing from there. According to family members, Rajhani was called by phone. When he came out while talking, he was shot.

Was accused in 55 kg gold robbery case

Yusuf Qaiser alias Rajhani, who was shot dead by criminals on Sunday night, was also an accused in the country’s biggest gold robbery case. According to Sadar SDPO, on 23 November 2019, Rajhani was accused in the case of robbery of about 55 kg of gold from Muthoot Finance located at Cinema Road of Nagar Police Station. He also went to jail in that case. He was released from jail only about six months ago.
