The people of the southern part of Aurai have to travel an additional distance of 40 kilometers to reach the block headquarters. Flood water has entered about 100 houses in Babhangama West Madhuban Pratap, Bada Buzurg, Bada Khurd and Chainpur villages. Due to the continuing rapid growth, people have started coming to the Bagmati embankment at the same pace. Indal Sahni of Mahuvara, Sarpanch of Atrar Panchayat told that the situation is very frightening. Especially the arrangement of animal maintenance and fodder is getting affected. Two hundred families are badly surrounded by rain water in Aurai Panchayat. Hundreds of families are submerged.
