In the state, the highest temperature in Patna and Gaya was recorded four degrees below normal, while in Bhagalpur and Purnia the highest temperature was recorded five degrees below normal.

There will be a drop of two to three degrees Celsius in Patna and surrounding areas during the next 24 hours. Due to clear sky, dense fog is also expected in some areas. The districts of North Bihar are also not going to get relief from the cold wave. The forecast for the next five days has been issued by the Meteorological Department. Under this, due to the movement of jet winds, cold-day conditions are likely to persist at present. Due to this, the day temperature is expected to remain much below normal for the next three days. People will have to face dense fog in the morning. According to the forecast, westerly wind will blow at an average speed of three to five km per hour during this period. According to meteorologists, the maximum temperature of Muzaffarpur district is expected to be between 14 to 17 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be between 8 to 10 degrees Celsius.
