Bihar Weather Report: The havoc of cold continues in Bihar. Bihar, which had suffered the brunt of heat wave in summer last year, is now facing the brunt of cold wave in winter this year. The period of freezing cold and fog that brings mercury to the surface during the day has been going on for the last six days. Dust particles are also included in the fog. Because of this sunlight is not able to reach the surface. Therefore, due to the mercury falling much below normal, cold day conditions are being created in most areas of the state. Generally, winter rains occur from December to January due to the activity of western disturbances. Because of this the sky used to become clear. This is not being seen this time. Cold day conditions are being created continuously in the state after the year 2018.

According to the weather report, a powerful western disturbance is forming in the state around January 26. Due to this, there may be rain in Bihar on 26 or 27 January. This will increase the cold. Here, according to the forecast of IMD, there is a possibility of cold continuing till January 22. There is a possibility of dense fog at some places in North Bihar of the state and moderate to dense fog in South Bihar for the next three to four days.
Extreme cold in many districts including Patna, Chhapra, Bhagalpur
In Bihar, severe cold day was recorded in Muzaffarpur, Buxar, Aurangabad, Patna, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Chhapra, Sabour, Bhojpur, Kaimur, Khagaria, Jiradei, Agwanpur, Kishanganj on Wednesday. The mercury here has been recorded six to 11 degrees Celsius less than normal.
Cold day in Gaya for the fourth consecutive day
Cold day prevailed in Gaya for the fourth consecutive day. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Gaya will remain in the grip of cold day till next January 21.
