When will monsoon withdraw from Bihar?

According to BAU’s Rural Agriculture Meteorological Service, withdrawal of monsoon from East Bihar, Kosi, Seemanchal and Santhal Parganas including Bhagalpur is possible by October 10. Generally, monsoon winds return from Bhagalpur and surrounding areas around this date. But if a cyclonic system is formed due to low air pressure in the Bay of Bengal or Arabian Sea, then the monsoon returns with a delay of one week from this date. After the departure of monsoon, the westerly wind will become active.

With the departure of monsoon, the night temperature will start decreasing by mid-October. Till now the amount of dust particles in the atmosphere was less due to rain. As the amount of dust particles in the air increases, the level of air pollution along with fog and mist will also gradually increase. According to India Meteorological Department, this year there will be more fog as well as cold in East India.

Farmers have also been disappointed due to continuous rains. Paddy crops are submerged in most places. Farmers’ paddy fields have been submerged in water. Farmers said that earlier papaya cultivation was ruined and now paddy cultivation is facing the brunt of excessive rainfall.
