Bihar Weather: Strong start of monsoon in Bihar a day ahead of time, rain knocks in Purnia-Kishanganj

Bihar Weather Forecast: The southwest monsoon has started in Bihar on Monday. The first spell of rain fell at Tengraghat in Purnia district, which is known as the gateway of monsoon in Bihar. After this the monsoon clouds reached Katihar, Araria and Kishanganj. It has rained heavily at some places in all these districts. Heavy rainfall has also been recorded in the region of Bhagalpur. IMD Patna’s senior meteorologist Ashish Kumar told that the monsoon has started in Bihar. There has been significant rain in the eastern region. There is a forecast of favorable conditions for the further advance of the monsoon.

Monsoon arrived a day earlier

This time the monsoon has arrived in Bihar a day before the pre-determined date of June 13. The premature arrival of monsoon is considered surprising, because this time the monsoon had reached seven days late in Kerala itself. For the time being, beyond all predictions, Monsoon has made its first knock at Tengraghat in Purnia district. Heavy rainfall of 105.2 mm has been recorded here. 57.2 mm of rain has been recorded in Balrampur in Katihar district, 56.4 in Sikti in Araria district and 50.6 mm in Sonhaula in Bhagalpur district. Monsoon rains have also been recorded in many areas of Kishanganj, Banka and Supaul.

Thunderstorm alert issued

Monsoon has been stagnant in the same area since Monday morning. According to the forecast of IMD, the northern limit of monsoon is passing through Ratnigiri and passing through Farbisganj. Due to the arrival of monsoon, the amount of moisture in the atmosphere has increased. Eastern and westerly winds are getting at the lower level. That’s why there is a strong possibility of cold and storm / cyclonic wind. IMD has issued an alert regarding this. It has been warned that water logging, electricity service and traffic may be disrupted in the monsoon.

Here in eight districts of Bihar, severe heat wave

On the other hand, on Monday in Bihar, Patna, Motihari, Sheikhpura, Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Nawada, Harnaut and Jiradei experienced severe heat wave. For the next 24 hours, the highest temperature in Bihar may still remain below normal. Monsoon activity can also affect it. The highest temperature of 43.6 degree Celsius has been recorded in Bhojpur in Bihar.
