Bihar Weather: Severe cold stopped the wheel of development, minimum mercury reached below five degrees…

The severe cold that has been falling in Bihar for the last one week has stopped the wheels of development. The mercury has reached below eight degrees. Due to the bone-chilling cold, workers of many projects are refusing to go to the site. The work of big projects worth billions has been affected. The work agency will start work only when the weather becomes normal. The most impact is visible on earth filling work of parallel bridge, Aguani bridge, SH-103 widening and four lane. In this way, delay in timely completion of the project is possible. The work agency can claim extra work due to delay due to inclement weather.

Very few workers are arriving

SH Executive Engineer Sanjeet Kumar and Project Manager Sunil Kumar Singh said that it has been extremely cold in Meskaur for the last one week. In such a situation, it is natural for work to be affected. Work agencies have been instructed to speed up the work after the weather becomes normal. Most of the work on the parallel bridge is being done on the river bank. Piling work is being done by digging a well in the river area, but for the last seven days, countless workers are seen at the site, but the work is not progressing. An employee associated with the project said that there are problems due to fog also. The fog clears up only after 12 noon and starts again after 4 pm.

State highway project work also halted

The work on the State Highway project has also been affected by the cold. Wherever the work was going on, there is a break at present. This is the condition of all four phases of the project. The workers of Vriddhi Infratech India Private Company Limited have been hiding in the camp for the last three-four days. The project’s site engineers have also stopped work as a precaution against the cold. Right now only site visits are happening. The widening work of SH-103 is going on in two phases.

In the first phase, work is going on from Manjway to Fatehpur area. Whereas in the second phase it is from Fatehpur to Govindpur area. There was a slowdown in similar work in this area, but now the cold has completely stopped the work. DPC work is also not being done due to cold. Workers go to the site, but the work is not completed. Due to the hilly and plain area, the temperature remains up to seven.
