According to IMD, the maximum temperature in the state has been recorded at 27 degrees Celsius in Motihari and Kishanganj. However, the lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 5.5 degrees Celsius in Kishanganj. The difference between day and night temperature here is 22 degrees Celsius. Wide variation in day and night temperatures is being seen across the state. However, there is a possibility of increase in day and night temperatures in the next few days. At present the maximum temperature of the state has gone above normal. A Sattar, senior meteorologist of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, said that if the temperature increases in the next few days, the wheat crop will definitely be affected. Wheat crop will also be affected due to absence of fog. However, farmers should wait now. If winter increases within a week, the negative impact on farming will be eliminated.

According to records, around December 21 last year, the weather pattern and temperature were similar to now. In the year 2022, the change in weather started from 29th December. The cold had increased due to the sudden drop in maximum and minimum temperatures. The minimum temperature in many districts of North Bihar had reached close to 6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was around 17 degrees Celsius.
