Cold wave continues in Bihar. Severe cold in Angkshetra and Kosi-Seemanchal districts also (Bihar Cold Alert) Is Happening. The effect of severe cold continued in Bhagalpur district on Thursday also. Due to fog, sunlight could not be seen till 12 noon. There was light sunshine from 2 o’clock in the afternoon. On January 25, the maximum afternoon temperature dropped by six degrees. The maximum temperature was 14 degrees and the minimum temperature was 7.5 degrees. After evening the cold started increasing again due to the cold westerly wind. It is the coldest from late night till morning. During this period, fog also remained in various areas of the district. Due to increase in cold (Bihar Me Thand), small children going to school in the morning are facing the most trouble. In view of the cold wave, parents are again demanding closure of schools.
Weather in Banka
Banka district is also experiencing severe cold (Banka Mausam News). The minimum temperature in the district on Thursday remained at five degrees Celsius. Due to this people are experiencing severe cold. The harshness of the morning and evening and the cold westerly wind blowing intermittently have increased the severity of winter. As evening falls the roads become deserted.
Weather of Jamui district..
The outbreak of cold (Jamui Weather Today) is not showing any signs of decreasing in Jamui district. Cold wave was going on even on Thursday. Although people got some respite from the cold when the sun came out after 12 o’clock, but as soon as the evening came, the cold wave started. People are facing more problems due to the cold wind blowing at a speed of ten kilometers per hour. Due to continuously increasing effect of cold, normal life has become disrupted. The people of the district are facing severe cold since the beginning of January. People’s problems have increased since last fortnight. Due to extreme cold, the daily routine of the city residents is starting very late in the morning. Traffic on the roads has also reduced considerably. On Thursday, the maximum temperature of the district was recorded at 17 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 8 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no respite from the cold till January 29.
6 degree cold in Munger..
Munger is experiencing bone-chilling cold (Munger Weather). The minimum temperature in the district reached 6 degrees Celsius on Thursday. Thursday morning was due to dense fog and cold westerly wind. The weather remained very bad till 11 o’clock in the day. Whereas around 8 am, light drizzle increased the cold further. The sun remained covered with clouds throughout the day. Due to which cold day situation persisted. People remained hiding in their homes due to dense fog and bone-chilling cold. On Thursday, the maximum temperature was 17 and the minimum temperature was 6 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, people are not expected to get relief from the cold till Sunday and the cold day situation will continue.
How will be the weather of Munger?
On Friday also, the maximum temperature of Munger district is likely to be 18 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 7 degrees. Whereas on Saturday and Sunday also the maximum is expected to be 18 and minimum 6 to 7 degrees Celsius. Whereas there is a possibility of the sun being covered and a cold westerly wind blowing at a speed of 9 to 10 kilometers.
Cold in Kosi-Seemanchal..
Kosi-Seemanchal region is also experiencing severe cold. The maximum temperature of Purnia is -19.0 degree Celsius and minimum is -10.0 degree Celsius. Whereas the maximum temperature of Supaul district was recorded at 19 degree Celsius and minimum at 09 degree Celsius. The mercury dropped to 9 degrees in Khagaria.
When will the cold subside?
Dr. Sunil Kumar, Nodal Officer of Rural Agriculture Meteorological Service of BAU Sabour, Bhagalpur, said that cold will continue in Bhagalpur and surrounding districts between 26th to 30th January. There will be fog in the morning, there will be light sunshine in the afternoon. There is a possibility of a slight increase in temperature from January 28. There is a possibility of western wind blowing during this period. The average speed of wind can be 2 to 5 kilometers per hour. Farmers should irrigate wheat and vegetables as per requirement and keep animals inside sheds.
