Bihar Weather: Mercury crossed 40 degrees in 10 districts of Bihar

Bihar Weather: The heat of hot air has started being felt in Bihar. Due to light north-westerly wind and clear sky, heat wave-like conditions were created at most places in south-western-central Bihar. Especially in 10 districts of Bihar, Buxar, Sheikhpura, Aurangabad, Banka, Bhojpur, Jiradei, Nawada, Dehri, Khagaria and Gopalganj, the mercury has crossed 40 degrees Celsius.

Out of these places, heat wave conditions prevailed in Buxar, Sheikhpura, Aurangabad and Banka. The gusts of hot wind were felt here. However, due to technical reasons, IMD has not yet declared heat wave in these districts/stations. According to the official report of IMD Patna, Buxar was the hottest in the state. The highest temperature was recorded at 42.2 degrees Celsius in Buxar, 42.1 in Sheikhpura, 41.5 in Aurangabad and 41 degrees Celsius in Banka.

The mercury is expected to rise by two to three degrees in the next two days. According to IMD forecast, the temperature is expected to rise by two to three degrees more in the state between 5th and 6th. After this the weather conditions will change for a day or two. The temperature will drop slightly. In fact, on April 7 and 8, there is a possibility of light rain at one or two places in the south-west, south-central and south-east districts of the state.

However, at all these places the mercury remained four to five degrees higher than normal. Apart from this, 40.8 degree Celsius has been recorded in Khagaria, 40.6 in Gopalganj, 40.4 in Bhojpur and Zerodei (Siwan), 40.3 in Nawada and 40 degree Celsius in Dehri. Apart from this, the highest temperature of 39 to 40 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Patna, Gaya, Jamui, Valmikinagar, Madhubani, Motihari, and Jamui. The mercury here has been recorded two to four degrees higher than normal.
