Bihar Weather: Light rain in South Bihar including Patna, yellow alert issued for thunderstorms

Patna. Due to western disturbance and jet stream activity, the state became cloudy from Sunday evening. There are chances of light rain in some parts of South Bihar between Sunday and Monday. There is also a possibility of thunder and thunder at some places. IMD has issued a yellow alert regarding this. According to IMD, there are chances of rain in South, West, South-Central and South-East Bihar. There are chances of light rain especially in areas like Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Jehanabad, Lakhisarai, Buxar, Bhojpur, Bhabua, Rohtas, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Khagaria etc.

Less chances of rain and thunderstorm in North Bihar

There are less chances of rain and thunderstorm in North Bihar. Although it will remain cloudy there. On Monday, there is a possibility of a drop of three to four degrees in the day temperature due to cloudy sky and cold wind. There is a possibility of increase in night temperature. On Sunday, the highest temperature in the state was recorded in Patna at 27 degrees Celsius. It was three degrees more than normal. Here in the state, the lowest minimum temperature has been recorded at 7.6 degrees Celsius in Gaya. According to the official information of IMD, the weather of Bihar will become normal from 6th.

Light rain with cloudy sky on Sunday evening

After being sunny throughout the day in the capital on Sunday, it started becoming cloudy around five in the evening and after a few hours there was light rain. According to Meteorological Center Patna, in the last 24 hours the maximum temperature has dropped by 2.1 °C and the minimum has dropped by 1.9 °C. After the fall, the maximum temperature was recorded at 27 °C and the minimum at 10.3 °C. There is a possibility of reduction in cold in the city’s weather during the coming 24 hours.

There is also a possibility of cloudy weather

Along with this, there is also a possibility of light rain and cloudy weather. According to the released data, the weather may clear up after the next two days. Talking about various places in Patna, the maximum temperature was recorded at 24.9 °C and minimum temperature was 10.3 °C in the capital and eastern region. Apart from this, maximum temperature of 25.4 °C and minimum temperature of 13.8 °C was recorded in Patna Women’s College area.

Pollution improved, AQI 160

As soon as the weather of the capital changed, improvement in air quality was recorded. Due to light rain, the AQI of the city reached 160. At the same time, air quality still remains in poor condition at two places in the city. AQI of Muradpur was recorded at 215 and AQI of Samanpura was recorded at 253. Apart from this, in other places of the city, 145 AQI of Danapur, 149 AQI of Shikarpur and 33 AQI of Taramandal were recorded. Pollution Board officials say that air pollution has improved due to light rain in the area.
