Intermittent rain in Mokshadham Gaya

On Tuesday, the fifth day of the 17-day Tripakshi Shraddha, which started from September 28, thousands of devotees performed Pind Daan, Shraddha rituals and prayers under the direction of their Kul Panda at Brahma Sarovar, Kagbali, Amr Sinchan and Cow Prachar Vedi sites with the wish of attaining salvation and salvation of their ancestors. Completed the ritual of tarpan. According to Vayu Purana and other Hindu religious texts, the ancestors of the devotees who perform the rituals of Pind Daan, Shraddha and Tarpan at these altar places become salvation. At the same time they are saved. The devotees performing the rituals also receive the blessings of their ancestors. Even amidst the intermittent rain, the faith of the devotees towards their ancestors was visible. The process of arrival of Pind Daanis at these altar places started with sunrise and continued till sunset.

Considering the space and transport arrangements, apart from these altar places, many devotees also performed the rituals of the fifth day as per the law in the residences and Dharamshalas of their respective clans. Throughout the day, more than 10 thousand devotees performed the rituals of Pind Daan, Shraddha and Tarpan on the platform built around Brahma Sarovar for the salvation of their ancestors. After this, the devotees sacrificed a mass made of urad flour at the Kagbali altar located in the same premises. It is believed that this sacrifice is given to Dharamraj and Yamraj for their dogs and crows. By this the ancestors get freedom from bad deeds. After this, the devotees completed their rituals by offering water to the mango plant located at the mango irrigation altar site.

According to the belief, the thirst of the ancestors of the devotees who offer water to the mango plant is quenched. From here the Pind Daan performed the ritual of offering Pind Daan to his ancestors at the Go Prachar Vedi to attain Brahmalok. Priest Govind Lal Mahuar told that when Lord Brahma had come to Gayaji with all the gods for the Yagya, he had donated 1.25 lakh cows to the Brahmins. The hoof marks made by a cow on this altar site are proof of this. He told that the souls of the ancestors of the devotees who offer Pind Daan at the Go Prachar Vedi are liberated from life and death.
