Bihar Weather: In Muzaffarpur, the heat wave dried up in five minutes, the water layer went down 44 feet in the city.

Heat wave in Bihar Due to the heatwave in Muzaffarpur, on one hand people’s throats are drying up every five minutes, on the other hand there is an all-round hue and cry in the city due to the water problem. The situation is that in many areas of the urban area the water layer has reached down to 44 feet. Due to the rapidly falling water level, along with the municipal corporation, domestic motors are also failing. Out of 30 pumps of the corporation, 20 pumps are half in drawing water. Every day, water tankers are being demanded from a dozen different areas on the helpline number of the Municipal Corporation. According to experts related to water supply, under normal condition water is supplied at 25 feet. Almost all the puddles in the city have dried up.

Construction work going on from 6 am to 1 pm

Due to the scorching sun and heat, the condition of the workers associated with the construction work has become worse. It is difficult to do construction work from morning to evening. In such a situation, laborers are doing construction work at most of the private places from 6 am to 1 pm. According to the contractors, the laborers are ready to work since early morning. In such a situation, work is being done only where the homeowner is willing.

Customers do not come to the market from 12 to 5 in the afternoon

From the main markets of the city to the square-intersections, there is silence these days. Shyam Kumar, a shopkeeper associated with textile business in Motijheel, told that even a few customers do not reach from 12 noon to 5 pm. Due to the strong sunlight, people leave their homes only after 7 o’clock for shopping. In such a situation, instead of 9 in the night, most of the shopkeepers are opening their shops at 10 o’clock.

Business of construction materials affected by 20 to 25 percent

The business related to construction materials has also been affected due to the heatwave. Talking about ballast-sand, there has been a decline of about 25 percent in retail and wholesale sales. Due to the scorching heat along with the season of litchi and mangoes, the laborers are also coming less. In such a situation, the construction is interrupted. Due to which the sale of construction materials has also been affected.
