Bihar Weather Forecast: After the return of monsoon in Bihar, it is raining continuously for the last two days. There are chances of good rains in most places of Bihar on 9th August i.e. Wednesday. This period of rain is likely to continue till August 15. According to IIMD, there will be maximum rain on Wednesday, especially in the districts of North-West Bihar-North-Central Bihar, North-East Bihar, South-East Bihar. As far as south-central Bihar is concerned, there are chances of good rains at some places in Patna, Gaya etc. districts.

Rain became relief amid drought

According to official information, Bihar has received more than 23 mm of rain in the last 24 hours. The matter of most relief is that due to continuous rains, the possibility of drought in Bihar is continuously weakening. In the last 48 hours, Bihar has received 343 mm of rain so far, which is 39 percent less than normal due to above normal rainfall. Till two days ago, the rainfall figure in Bihar was almost 45 per cent less than normal.

According to the official information of IMD, heavy rains have been recorded in Purnia, Araria, Katihar, Supaul, Samastipur, Khagaria, Munger, West Champaran, Madhubani, Kishanganj etc. districts of Bihar from Monday to Tuesday. There is a possibility of rain in North Bihar on Wednesday as well. During this, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms at many places. According to the information, the monsoon trough line is passing through Supaul in Bihar.

The farmers have got relief from the intermittent rains in Supaul for the last two days. Due to accumulation of more than 01 feet of water on most of the roads in the rural areas including the district headquarters, people are facing a lot of trouble in movement. The biggest problem is related to the traffic on the Supaul-Saharsa road. It is to be known that due to the construction of the over bridge in the district headquarters, big and small potholes have been formed at many places from Lohia Nagar Chowk to Ambedkar Chowk. Due to which there has been more than 01 feet water logging on the road. The condition of the road going from Kirtan Bhavan to Engineering College is very bad, there are potholes on this road. Due to which there is a possibility of accident on these routes.

Rain forecast in East Bihar

Due to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation has formed over North Bangladesh. Due to this, rain activities are continuing in entire East Bihar including Bhagalpur for the last two days. Light rain continued throughout the day in the district on Tuesday. On August 8, there was 12.4 mm of rain. The day was covered with clouds. Due to no sunlight, the maximum temperature of the district was 28 degrees and the minimum temperature was 25 degrees. People got relief from the humidity and heat throughout the day. The amount of moisture in the air was 100 percent.

Weather of Bhagalpur and surrounding districts

According to Dr. Sunil Kumar, nodal officer of BAU Sabour’s Rural Agriculture Meteorological Service, the sky may remain partly cloudy in Bhagalpur between August 9 and 12. There is a possibility of moderate rain between 9 and 10 August. During this, there is a possibility of easterly wind, the average wind speed can be 6 to 11 kilometers per hour. The temperature will be normal. Farmer brothers are advised to plant paddy of short duration during this period.

Rain forecast in North Bihar districts

Dr. Rajendra Central Agricultural University, Samastipur-based Rural Agricultural Meteorological Service Center and India Meteorological Department have issued weather forecast for August 9 to 13. During this period, there may be medium to thick clouds in the sky in the districts of North Bihar. There may be light to moderate rainfall in the districts of North Bihar for the next one or two days, while moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places in Samastipur, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, East and West Champaran. After that, the possibility of rain will decrease in the districts of North Bihar. During this time the maximum temperature is expected to be between 28 to 33 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature can remain around 23 to 26 degree Celsius. The relative humidity is estimated to be 85 to 90 percent in the morning and 60 to 65 percent in the afternoon. Westerly wind with an average speed of 10 to 15 kmph is likely to prevail during the forecast period.
