There is a possibility of rain in many parts of Bihar on Saturday as well. According to the forecast of IMD, heavy rains are expected at many places in North-West Bihar, North-Central, North-East and South-East Bihar. Apart from this, the period of scattered rains will continue in the rest of Bihar. Here, from Thursday to Friday morning, 26 mm of rain has been recorded in the state.
Heavy to very heavy rains have been recorded in more than half of Bihar from Thursday morning to Friday morning. In this, rainfall between 100 to 147 mm has been recorded in Madhepura and most of its areas. Apart from this, heavy rains have been recorded in parts of East and West Champaran, Araria, Katihar, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Nalanda, Purnia, Madhubani and Banka districts including Bihta in Supaul, Khagaria, Patna.
According to official information, Bihar has received 531 mm of rain till Friday. This figure of rain is 27 percent less than normal. At present, monsoon is still active in Bihar. The trough line of monsoon is passing through Patna. However, there is a possibility of weakening of monsoon in some areas from Saturday.
The Rural Agricultural Weather Service Center of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa and the India Meteorological Department have released the weather forecast for August 26-30. During this period, there may be medium to thick clouds in the sky. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the next 24 hours. After that the chances of rain will decrease.
The maximum temperature is expected to be between 30 to 35 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature can remain around 22 to 25 degree Celsius. The relative humidity is estimated to be 80 to 90 percent in the morning and 60 to 70 percent in the afternoon. On an average, westerly wind is likely to blow at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour. Friday’s maximum temperature was 29.5 degrees Celsius, which was 2.9 degrees Celsius less than normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature was 24.0 degree Celsius, which was 2.7 degree Celsius less than normal.
