On Friday, the lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 4.9 in Gaya, which is also the lowest of this season. In this minimum temperature of Gaya, a decline of 8.6 degrees Celsius has been recorded as compared to Thursday. Across the state, the maximum temperature has dropped by two to four degrees and the minimum temperature has dropped by two to eight degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. Dense and dense fog remained present in most places of the state in the morning. Due to this, a significant drop in temperature has been recorded. Chill was felt.

Morning started with dense fog in Purnia

But the cold wave did not reduce the severity of winter. The way cold has now gained momentum, it has made life difficult for common people. Due to cold, common people’s life has become disrupted. Even the daily work of people is being affected.

Cold wave increases chill in Bhagalpur, temperature drops by four degrees

The outbreak of cold wave increased in Bhagalpur district since Saturday. The chill increased considerably due to the cold westerly wind. Due to drop in maximum temperature people remained shivering even during the day. Although there was light sunshine in the afternoon, it did not provide even an iota of relief from the cold. People remained hiding in their homes even during the day. As the evening approached, cold winds once again engulfed the entire district. The minimum temperature was 7.4 degrees in the early morning on Saturday. Whereas in the afternoon the maximum temperature dropped by four degrees and reached 16 degrees. Along with the cold, the situation of air pollution in the district remained very serious. The air quality index of Mayaganj area of ​​the city was recorded at 410.

Temperature will increase from January 17

According to Dr. Sunil Kumar, Nodal Officer of Rural Agriculture Meteorological Service of BAU, the temperature will remain low in Bhagalpur between January 14 and 16. There will be fog in the morning, there will be only light sunshine during the day. There is a possibility of western wind blowing during this period. There is a possibility of a slight increase in temperature from January 17. Farmer brothers are advised not to spray any kind of wheat crop in strong winds. Irrigate the vegetables as per requirement. Keep inspecting the mustard crop, there is a high possibility of Mahu pest attack. There is still a possibility of late blight disease in the potato crop, keep monitoring continuously.

Darbhanga mercury reached seven degrees below normal

The trend of falling temperature in Darbhanga, Bihar continued for the third consecutive day, hence the chill is increasing. On Saturday the temperature dropped seven degrees below normal. Kankani was felt throughout the day. It increased further as the evening approached. People were forced to hide in their homes. Although the Sun God was seen in the afternoon, it was only a mere sight. The sun did not shine completely. There was no feeling of warmth in it at all. However, the reason for this was the cold westerly wind. The sun did not shine for three consecutive days. Life became disorganized.

The highest temperature started being higher than normal. People were just feeling relief from the severe cold when from last Thursday the weather changed once again and the temperature started falling. This sequence continued for the third consecutive day. While last Wednesday the highest temperature was recorded 1.7 degrees above normal, there was a sharp drop the very next day i.e. Thursday, January 11. The highest temperature went 5.1 degrees below normal. Although there was a slight increase in it on Friday, it still remained 4.3 degrees below normal. Here, on Saturday it went seven degrees below normal. According to the information released by the Meteorological Department of Central Agricultural University, Pusa, today’s average highest temperature was 15.2 degrees, whereas according to the weather it should have been 22.2 degrees.
