Bihar Weather: Cold wave in Patna, Valmikinagar, Darbhanga and Gopalganj, coldest in Bihar, yellow alert till 16

Patna. The cold winds coming from the western Himalayan region have started shaking the entire state. Cold wave like situation was felt in the state. In Bihar, a cold day like situation has arisen in Patna, Valmikinagar, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Motihari, Gopalganj and Pusa on Friday. Cold wave like conditions have been observed across the state in rural areas.

Yellow alert issued to avoid cold

The situation is likely to remain more or less the same for the next three days. IMD Patna has officially issued a yellow alert to avoid cold for the next three days. The lowest minimum temperature in the state has been recorded at 4.9 in Gaya, which is the lowest of this season. In this minimum temperature of Gaya, a decline of 8.6 degrees Celsius has been recorded as compared to Thursday.

It will still be cold due to cold westerlies

According to IMD forecast, due to cold westerly movement, morning fog and cold day conditions may persist in the state for the next three days. Across the state, the maximum temperature has decreased by two to four degrees and the minimum temperature has decreased by two to eight degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. Here in most places of the state there was dense and dense fog in the morning. Due to which a significant drop in temperature has been recorded.

People got relief from cold due to sunshine
