The effect of Sun’s Uttarayan is not visible in Bihar. Instead of increasing, the heat of the sun is proving to be decreasing. The fog has stopped the sunlight from reaching the earth. There is a possibility of severe cold in the state till January 26. Along with the cold wave, fog will also be seen in full force. However, there is a possibility that sunshine may be seen during the day. According to the official information of IMD, cold day conditions occurred in south-west, south-central and more than half of northern Bihar of the state. The minimum temperature in all the districts or places of the state was less than 10 degrees Celsius. In six districts the temperature remained less than five degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in Bhagalpur was recorded at 16.4 degrees, seven degrees below normal. Similarly, severe cold days have been recorded in Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Jiradei, Pusa, Buxar, Jamui, Sheikhpura etc. The average minimum temperature of Jy was between 6-7 degrees Celsius.
